Write the preterite form of the verb:

Yo (cantar).
Nosotros (hablar)
Ella (hacer).
Ricardo (decir).
Ellos (querer).
Tú (decidir).
Yo (entender).
Ella (poder).
Yo (buscar).
Nosotros (dar).

Conjugate the following verbs in the past using either the preterite or the imperfect. Remember to conjugate according to the subject of the sentence.

Yo (estar) mirando la televisión cuando mi mamá (llegar) a casa.
Cuando mis hermanos y yo (ser) jóvenes, siempre (ir) de vacaciones a las montañas rocosas.
El día de mi cumpleaños el año pasado (llover) mucho y (hacer) aire fuerte. No me (divertir) nada en la fiesta esa noche.
Después de oír el sonido, María y José (correr) hasta su coche y (ir) a la policía.
Cuando mi mamá (terminar) de limpiar la casa (ser) las ocho de la noche.
El sábado pasado (haber) muchos accidentes porque (nevar) todo el día.
El director (decir) que no (haber) ninguna solución al problema.

Fill in the blanks:

Ayer (me levanté/me levantaba) a las siete y media. Los pájaros (cantaron/cantaban) y el sol (brilló/brillaba). Yo (daba/dí) una vuelta al parque porque no (quiso/quería) perder un día tan hermoso.
